National Diversity in Disaster Conference
17-18 April 2018, Melbourne
The Diversity in Disaster conference is bringing together Australian and international emergency services professionals, researchers and community organisations to help build understanding around the unique risks and vulnerabilities that people from diverse, marginalised and underrepresented communities face during a natural disaster.
The conference will focus on the strengths and needs of people from a range of backgrounds, exploring preparedness, response, relief and recovery for diverse communities, while also encouraging inclusive and effective emergency management.
This conference is funded by the Australian Government in partnership with the Victorian Government under the National Partnership Agreement for National Disaster Resilience.
