Open to any organisation that is not formed by government (whether local, regional or central) and which have rules and objects which may reasonably be seen as reducing marginalisation or fostering wellbeing A group’s membership gives a mandate to SEWN to carry out activities to meet our objectives.
Full members are also entitled to:
- a copy of the monthly newsletter in email or print
- voting and nomination rights
- attendance at meetings
- free admission to SEWN forums
- advocacy and advice
- the right to bring concerns to the Board.
Open to organisations that do not meet the criteria for full membership of SEWN and individuals. Associate members give a mandate to SEWN to carry out activities to meet our objectives. It also entitles you to a copy of the monthly newsletter, attendance at meetings, advocacy and the right to bring concerns to the attention of the Board.
Non-members may subscribe to the newsletter for the same cost as membership.

Becoming a member of SEWN entitles your organisation to:
- Discounted “member” rates of room hire at Christchurch Community House
- Free entry to SEWN forums
- Access to the email network for notices
- Monthly copy of our famous newsletter
- Full members have voting rights at the SEWN AGM
- Advocacy and advice
